I cannot say enough about my personal experience with the JEM Education courses, let alone the instructors themselves. Prior to my employment at JEM Med Spa, I participated in three novice injectable courses, one dermal filler and two botox courses. I had the pleasure of learning from the owners, Melissa and Jeanine, and our clinical manager in Elmhurst, Nicole. All three courses began with a didactic approach which I found very helpful, given I did not have an aesthetic background at the time. Throughout each course, we had the opportunity to get hands on experience as well. During the didactic portion, we reviewed everything from what is botox/filler, how you mix botox, important factors to keep in mind while injecting filler, anatomy, and so much more. We also had the opportunity to practice manipulating syringes and they reviewed hand dexterity prior to injecting our models. To say the least, I felt as if we were given all of the tools necessary to have a successful first experience. There was guidance, patience, and positive reinforcement the whole entire time. After we finished injecting, we were able to debrief and ask questions. Each of the educators set realistic expectations about taking our careers in an aesthetic direction. It’s competitive and challenging, it’s an investment, and it’s worth it. JEM is constantly growing and evolving and there truly isn’t anywhere else I’d rather be learning. JEM education is a great way to prepare new injectors for their adventure ahead. It’s an experience I am very grateful for and will always highly recommend!

“I had the privilege of attending JEM’s novice Botox & Filler courses earlier this year. Both courses were taught by Nicole Pope, who is not only an incredible injector, but a phenomenal leader and educator. Being new to the industry, I was eager to build my foundation of knowledge, and these courses did exactly that. Nicole began the course with didactics, thoroughly educating on anatomy, history, science, technique, and safety. The beginning of the course was also spent utilizing silicone faces and real syringes, which allowed us to be hands on and simulate real injection techniques. Additionally, we learned unique landmarks of the face which helped us to mark our patients for appropriate and safe injections. The beginning of the course was so important and helpful, as it helped me gain confidence and become comfortable using techniques and syringes that were new to me.

The second half of the course was my personal favorite. Nicole provided each student with several models who allowed us to inject them with real product. Nicole spent so much time with each individual student, ensuring we were marking our injections appropriately and importantly-why we were injecting where we were. She also spent time thoroughly explaining to us the different techniques and products available to achieve different outcomes, which we implemented in our training with our models. While injecting, Nicole made me feel so comfortable while also ensuring I was practicing appropriately and safely.

Overall, I cannot say enough amazing things about Nicole and JEM education. I began the course with minimal knowledge of Botox and Filler and left so eager to learn and inject more!”

“I just wanted to take a moment to reflect on the Botox/Dysport didactic training that I completed through JEM Education.  The comprehensive Botox/Dysport training was divided into the history of the drug, uses for facial aesthetics, side effects, contraindications, facial anatomy, and injection techniques. At the conclusion of the educational session we broke out into stations that had a rubber model of the face and were able to practice injection techniques on various areas of the face.  Questions were answered along the way and they were devoted to each student. We then participated in the hands-on portion in which we all had the opportunity to inject on live models.   Melissa & Jeanine have a passion for educating the next generation of aesthetic injectors. They made learning enjoyable, were patient, knowledgeable, and didn’t take themselves too seriously. The information gleaned will positively impact my future as an aesthetic nurse injector.
