After completing this course, the student should be better able to:
- Explain patient evaluation, assessment, and preparation, including consent/informed consent and pre-treatment care.
- Discuss the science of PLLA-SCA Biostimulator.
- Discuss the impact aging has on our body’s collagen and elastin production.
- Identify the contraindications to PLLA-SCA Biostimulator.
- Recognize complications including ischemia and nodule formation.
- Identify tools, supplies, and post-procedure instructions needed as well as tips to avoid complications.
- Describe, discuss, and demonstrate injection techniques of the most common areas of the face treated with PLLA-SCA Biostimulator.
Our JEM Education PLLA-SCA Biostimulator course is led by our team of experienced nurses and nurse practitioners, each with years of hands-on experience. The course combines didactic education that covers preparation, administration, anatomy, and areas of treatment along with hands-on clinical training. Students will gain practical experience by injecting multiple areas on different models. Upon completion, participants will earn 8 CE hours and have the option to shadow one of our seasoned nurse injectors at a location that works best for them.
For the PLLA-SCA Biostimulator course, 2 years’ injecting experience is required.
